MIXING IT UP

H&M TOP, LUSH SHORTS, KOOBA SANDALS [SIMILAR], ZARA TOTE BAG, MICHAEL KORS WATCH, VARIOUS BRACELETS

Waking up at 7am on a Sunday resulted in a hodge podge look: floral top, striped shorts and an ombre tote bag. Not really sure what to think of it since I was half asleep while getting dressed... What I do know is that I absolutely, positively adore my new tote from Zara. The mixture of suede and patent leather, its gradient effect from cream to black, and large size make it the perfect bag to sport while out and about.

The day consisted of good food, gorgeous weather and shopping. I met up with Sophia to explore the Melrose Trading Post and came across with some amazing pieces (wish the handsome doggy was up for grabs). It's a lot more manageable than the Rose Bowl Flea Market, but the heat wore us down. We decided to cool off closer to the coast with lunch at Lemonade in Venice and more shopping at the Promenade in Santa Monica.

  1. I love markets! I find it so relaxing to walk around and see what the vendors have to offer. I still have yet to experience the Rose Bowl... definitely on my to-do list the next time I'm in LA!

  5. Looking at your sunny photos always makes me wish I lived in LA. It also makes me wish we were real life friends because you seem to eat at the most drool-worthy places.. all the time! ;) I love the idea of mixing florals with stripes. I can definitely see it being the new leopard-and-stripe combo. That ombre bag is amazing too; go Zara!

Hope you're having a great week!

  13. Sounds and looks like the prefect way to spend the day. Food and fashion! Love the skulls, rocks, and jewelry. Gotta do some shopping there sometime! I agree that the Rose Bowl can be hard to manage, it's so big! I also have the floral top, and it's a top pick in my closet. Love the sheer fabric and loose fit!
