The Big Easy aka NOLA aka New Orleans was a short, but fulfilling trip (literally). I had been to New Orleans almost exactly one year prior, but this most recent trip was different, in the best way possible.

We stayed at the newly renovated Le Meridien hotel, which just received a $29 million transformation. Located in the heart of Downtown, just steps away from the French Quarter, its prime location was ideal for exploring the city since time was of the essence. Each Le Meridien property that I've stayed at in the past provided an unique experience and this was no different. The attention to detail was amazing, with every  inch of the hotel's decor completely thought out, paying homage to the city of New Orleans and its history. And of course, since we were in the South, the staff's genuine Southern hospitality shined through, making the experience all that more memorable.

There's no better way to explore a city than with a local. Juley's love and passion for her hometown is evident throughout her blog so I was thrilled when she was able to join us for a leg of the trip. I have to be honest, after my first visit to New Orleans, I was in "like", but after seeing the city from her point of view, I fell in love.
