SAVERS HALLOWEEN

It's that time of year again where we get to dress up in costumes, take on an alter ego and overdose on an exorbitant amount of candy. Since the outfit is something that I'll wear for a few hours, I decided to visit my local Savers & Value Village to search for a Halloween costume for an upcoming party. Savers & Value Village offers budget friendly options with both new and pre-loved costumes. Upon entering the store, there's aisles of brand-new, ready made character options and plenty of accessories (masks, wigs, make up, etc) to enhance the look.

I was slightly overwhelmed with the amount of costume options (in a good way) and knew that I would be able to find the perfect look. Truth be told, I wish I had 5 different parties to attend because I had the hardest time deciding between a 70s hippie, a bank robber, a unicorn, a gypsy or cat woman. Due to my love for black and animal print, I went with the latter because I just could not part with what I had found.

After looking through the ready made costume options, I was inspired by a glittered black cat mask and decided to browse the clothing aisles to create an unique look. Since the store was so vast, I asked one of Savers' Costume Consultants (they were dressed in full Halloween costumes) for help and voila! - this is what we created. I was going for a sexy look and found an oversized silk animal print shirt to be worn as a dress. I could not be more pleased with my costume this year and can't wait to wear it on Saturday! Visit your local Savers or Value Village for all your Halloween costume needs.
