GETTIN' GROOVY WITH OLD NAVY

Old Navy's new spring collection screams peace, love and retro vibes. I'm so glad the styles from the '70s have resurfaced again because flares, peasant tops, platforms, floral prints, etc., are all so reminiscent of my middle school and high school days, some of the best years of my life.

I haven't quite jumped on the '70s trend this time around until now. Reason being, Old Navy's spring collection highlights the trend, with touches of romance and femininity, that creates a nice modern balance. The collection features boho-chic billowy blouses, vintage washed denim styles, fun jumpsuits, and neutralizing earth tone hues that's all super easy to wear and style. They are truly the perfect pieces for a spring wardrobe revival.

The new collection kicked off last month at Good Times at Davey Wayne's. Right upon entering through the "secret" door (hint: enter through the refrigerator), the mood was set with retro decor, legit candy from the era, an outdoor patio with hammocks and an airstream serving yummy snowcones. There was a full wall of flowers which presented the perfect photo op, a flower crown making booth and retro board games throughout. This ignited my excitement to create my own '70s revival look.

I think the trick to incorporating the '70s trend into present day is to mix-and-match. Wear the pieces inspired by this iconic era with modern-day accessories that you already own. The juxtaposition of the 2 eras makes it fun, unexpected, and refreshing. While shopping at Old Navy, I instantly fell in love with this pair of Cuffed Linen Shorts and knew I wanted to build an outfit around this piece. I love it for its gorgeous olive hue and its lightweight linen fabric, that's absolutely perfect for spring (& beyond). With festival season right around the corner, I easily gravitated towards this Swing Top for its boho-chic vibes. In true '70s fashion, I just had to wear a pair of platforms for height and to elongate the legs.

Please share if you're participating in the revived '70s trend and what you're loving the most! xx

  3. Each outfit is the best wears to others one, but in the significant post the outfit is so terrific. Dress changes your body language and attitude and status which types belongs to. They haul up you actually and expressively. Michael Rooker Guardians Of The Galaxy Yondu Udonta Coat
