As you may or may not know, I am a huge Taylor Swift fan and when she goes on tour... I go on tour. It's become tradition for me to not only see her in LA, but to take a trip and watch her perform outside of Los Angeles. This past weekend, I traveled to Chicago to watch her perform at Soldier Field.

The trip allowed me to check out one of Chicago's newest hotels, a boutique hotel named Hotel at Midtown. The decor is modern with white bedding (white bedding is a high preference for me when it comes to hotel rooms), hardwood floors, super sleek bathrooms (hello marble!) and lots of natural light.

My favorite part about Hotel at Midtown is that it's part of one of the most amazing fitness centers in the world - Midtown Athletic Club. Usually hotel gyms are small and unimpressive, but staying at the Hotel at Midtown gave me access to a huge lap pool, world-class workout equipment, boxing ring, and a plethora of classes (yoga, pilates, barre).

Its location was ideal, being just a short Uber/Lyft ride away from Bucktown, Wicker Park, and Lincoln Park neighborhoods. This was perfect for my trip because it allowed me to explore other neighborhoods in the city than just sticking to the usual Downtown Chicago that I'm accustomed too. If you ever find yourself in the Windy City, be sure to check out the Hotel at Midtown.
